Old Mutual Policy *****

My father Daniel Mandavha passed away on the 8th of November 2019 and was a policy holder(RMM5175 25) with Old Mutual for 20 years plus, Old Mutual contacted us his children one year after his death and was doing an investigation. Fast forward 2021 Old Mutual called us to tell us that they have finalised the Investigation, which was great because we waited for over 15 months.

Now that everything is finalised Old Mutual went and paid my step mother all money from his two policies excluding us his five children claiming that we are not his beneficiaries. Old Mutual paid all the money to my step mother who didn't even have kids with my late Father. Where is the Logic in all of this?
