old mutual no integrity falsified policy

old mutual have absolutely no integrity

a couple months ago i called old mutual regarding a retrenchment policy

i posed the specific question as to what was the waiting period to be covered

originally i was told telephonically there was NO waiting period

not wanting to simply accept that answer over the phone i asked the same old mutual consultant to mail me the details in which i then asked the question a second time and

in writing i was told there is a 1 month waiting period

i then got my broker who deals with old mutual to get everything in order

i signed up for the policy only to find later that in the writing of the policy its states 6 months waiting period to be covered

the goes against what old mutual had told advised regarding the cover to be in effect

i took this up through my broker and old mutual

old mutual came back lying saying that i had dealt with another broker and that they cant be held accountable they stated i didnt deal with old mutual direct

this is an absolute fabrication i dealt directly with an Old mutual consultant and i have proof via the emails given the consultant rep**** with an official old mutual email address

i will be taking this up to the ombudsman seeing as Old mutual go back on their words

they signed me up under false pretense and even when evidence in plain black and white is presented

showing their lies they do nothing

its been two weeks with no response for a rather serious offense committed that goes well against CPA regulation

they lack integrity and must be held accountable
