OLD MUTUAL IS REFUSING TO REMOVE JUDGMENT AGAINST MY NAME

I had a loan with Old Mutual, it was handed over to Van Der Merwe & Saayman-Fourie Attorneys (“VS Attorneys”).

I settled my account on 29 October 2018.

VS Attorneys sent me a paid up letter from Old Mutual dated 19 November 2018. I then discovered that there was judgment on the account.

On the 30th of November 2018 I sent an e-mail to OMF Legal Queries to ask them to remove the judgment as I have settled the account.

Luke Roberts from Legal Recoveries forwarded my e-mail to Kirsten on the 3rd of December 2018. Kirsten Alexander sent me an e-mail of the 11 of December 2018 and stated that the necessary updates have been sent to the bureaux to update their records and that I should allow 14 – 21 working days for same to reflect.

To my surprise, in February 2019 I requested a credit report from TransUnion only to find that the Judgment is still there. I sent another email to Kirsten to ask her again to remove the judgment. I received no response from her.

Out of frustration, I contacted Marietjie Horn from VS attorneys to tell her about my situation. The poor woman sent an e-mail to Old Mutual, copied me on that e-mail dated the 12th of February 2019. On the 7th of March 2019, Kirsten Alexander responded and said that I should allow 14-21 working days for the credit bureau to update my record AGAIN.

I have recently requested another credit report that is dated 24 of March 2019. That judgment is still haning.

I am so angry and disappointed right now. How much longer must I wait for Old Mutual to remove that judgment??
