Old Mutual has my hard earned money !!

Hi - Hoping that someone can assist. I've been an Old Mutual client for the past 4 years as my wife and I have Life Insurance and a Retirement annuity. In June of this year i was contacted by a sales consultant by the name of Ameer Adams to take an investment contract out. I agreed to this on the 2nd of June 2017 and he was going to email the documents to me, which he did. On the 6th of June ( 2 Working Days later ) i decided to cancel the contract after reading the documents. I emailed him on the same day to make him aware. He never responded to my mail. Only 3 weeks later on the 29th of June did he reply saying that he needs a cancellation letter signed by myself. I only noticed the mail the next day so sent through the cancellation letter on the 30th of June, i then got an automatic reply saying that he is out of office until the 31st of July and that if there was an urgent matter that i should contact his Manager Pricilla Ferguson. I called her immediately as i was concerned that the new Debit would go off my account. She assured me that she would resolve the matter and that she could not see any contracts on my ID number but she would give me feedback. Well i wake up this morning on the 4th of July just to find that Old Mutual debited by account in the amount of R 2000.00

My question - I cancelled the said contract within 2 working days - Why did it take the consultant 3 Weeks to reply on my cancellation request ? I have no doubt that he left the sale as ongoing so he could either reach his monthly sales target or he was after some sort of company sales incentive. Leaving me with a sour taste in my mouth regarding my other products i have with Old Mutual. We all work hard for our money and want value when we spend it and now i am R 2000.00 out of pocket. Please can someone from Old Mutual assist.
