OLD MUTUAL FINANCE
Good day
My name is Lorraine, I have a loan with old mutual which I consolidated. Currently, I would like to settle my loan, and old mutual finance refuses to give me a settlement amount, choosing to rather give me the interest rate that is used. I have been to the branches where if you need to take out a loan then they can't help you. ONLY tell you what they have been trained to say "they can't give you a settlement amount"
I have even tried to find their collections office where everyone is currently working from home. These are trying times I want to settle and move on from old mutual but the company is doing everything they can to keep their pockets fattened. They won't tell me how do they reach this interest, what calculation is used. I have even requested that they tell me where in the contract is this, that they don't give the settlement amount. I am yet to receive the document, everything escalated but I can't speak to anyone further than their agents.
This is so appalling for such a big company working with people's money, they just won't let me out of this loan.

There is no need. Old Mutual does not have a settlement discount and requests I settle the capital amount outstanding. They still refer to the interest which favors old mutual finance and not the client.
I asked for the contract and Old Mutual refuses to give me the contract I signed where it stipulates that I pay the capital amount outstanding.
At a time where circumstances of the country are where they are. Capitalist remains and want what they want.
