Old mutual Dundee is in good hands

My review will be a bit long because this has been a long yet wonderful journey. In 2020 when the R350 grants started we would stand in long queues for the whole day and sometimes some people would sleep at the post office because we are in the rural areas and transport is expensive. This is where I first saw one of your staff members who was giving out breakfast to the people in the queue waiting for their R350's. I knew she was working for you because she had a name tag with your logo on it. Most people in the queue questioned her gesture, thinking she was there to sell policies and one person why she was doing that without even trying to sell them anything and her answer was "Because I was some people slept here since I stay in the same street, so I figured people are hungry because they wouldn't be waiting for this money if they weren't". This woman took her time and money to give people food and I admired that about her.

Fast forward to 2022, me my grandmother and my little sister walked into an Old Mutual branch in Dundee to enquire about my late mother's policies and gogo asked for the manager and when she came to us it was the same lady I saw in 2020 handing out breakfast at the post office line when we were waiting for the grant. She was so happy to assist and we narrated what happened and she asked one the consultants to assist us with the claim and that was done. I got my money but litte sister couldn't get her money because she's a minor and had no bank account, so we needed a letter of guidenship from the court to give my grandma the write to open my sister's account under her. So sis Lwandle took her time to drive us to the social development department to meet up with the social worker who has been handling our case since my mom passed away in 2012. Sis Lwandle explained what she needed and asked the social worker to please do what she has to do so that we can get the documents needed to submit to court, we got the documents two weeks later and we went to sis Lwandle who drove us to legal aid, where we met up with the lady who help us to submit the documents and while we were there the lady started asking questions and from our answers she told us that we might have unclaimed funds from mom's pension fund since she was a clerk at the Education department. We got all the forms we needed and our case was submitted. We then drove back to Old mutual with sis Lwandle and she called the GPF offices and we then discovered that there is money and we would have never known that if sis Lwandle didn't drive with us to all these places. There were also 2 funeral plans from her employer and the union that were never claimed and we were able to get those funds.

With all this driving around and her time, not even once has sis Lwandle asked for petrol money or complained about using her car. I am writing all of this because we found out my mom had insurance elsewhere and when we went there to claim, the branch manager was not as welcoming and warm as sis Lwandle and her consultant. Thank you for hiring this lady for the Dundee community and her heart is really beautiful, Siyabonga sis Lwandle.
