Old Mutual ***** in paying a claim

Old mutual is a nightmare at claim time! I pray all those policy holders are well informed about the horrific service at claim time. Our first approach to Old Mutual Alberton was on the 17 October 2017, to report the death of our sister and process the claims. We were sent off without much help even on the information on the beneficiaries nor the value of the policies. We had to proceed with the burial without help from old mutual. After the burial we were able to go to the Master of High Court to seek assistance, we were given letter of authority to request information from Old Mutual, and on the 7th February 2018 we again approached their Ghandi Square branch for assistance, and were again sent off again without a resolution on our matter. On the 8th Feb 2018 we went to Alberton Branch, We submitted all the requested documents and lodged a claim. All requested documentation was submitted to their branch.Although the policy had beneficiaries, and we had a letter from Master of High Court to assist with our request , all was ignored. instead they keep sending us from pillar to post. On the 17th of April 2018, we again approached Old Mutual Ghandi Square to follow up on the matter, only to be told that our case is closed, and they cannot even give us information on the value of the policies, even though we had a letter of authority from the Master of the High Court. We were then told that they do not have access to that information, only their Cape Town head office has, and we must phone. Again we were sent from pillar to post, today is the 21st April 2018 and no resolution of our matter from Old Mutual, no joy, not even a sign of remorse from old mutual.
