Old Mutual deliberately delays paying out my educational claim. I have to look for alternative. Worst service ever

In 2012 I took out an education policy for my daughter. In May 2023, I qualified to withdraw but since she is going to high school. I decided, I will withdraw later in December to pay for her high school fees.

On 04 December 2023 I lodged a claim online with Old Mutual and the app indicates 5-7 days payment.

I was requested a Tax Declaration form I completed. I checked with them daily and they did not validate my tax declaration . The call centre did not care to follwo up for m,e with compliance after 8 days, I was tired and my child not fully enrolled I requetsed an escalation. It only then that compliance acknowledged my tax declaration and only then afetr countless call that I am told I will be paid maybe on Tuesday when all school are closed to pay for my child enrollment.

Exactly I would like to understand why do they bother signing us up for educational policy if in fact they will not administer any payout and refuse to work. They are happy collecting provident funds and funeral payments and when it comes time to pay. Everybody does not know how to assist the very client paying their insurance.

I am now left with looking for alternative payments for my child since Old Mutual with whom I have educational policy deliberately delayed my payout. I had to request escalation and cry to get help for my contributions. The worst service ever. I want to see if I cant transfer my insurance else where otherwise my kids might suffer in my absence.
