old mutual delays claim for almost 2 years

I phoned Old mutual today in connection with my deceased fathers pension payout.I spoke to 7 operators but not one of them could help me and kept on transferring me to the next person. My mother has been widowed since last year February with no form of income. The last time Old mutual sent me a letter stating the funds would be paid in 21 days time, its three months later and still waiting.Its sad to say you can get cover with 1 phone call but your dependants has to take Old mutual to court to get their claim. If only my father knew this would be the case, while he was still alive.
