Old mutual are ******

My mother had policies with Old Mutual for more that 10 years . During lockdown , she went to to the branch to apply for holiday payment as she wasn't getting an income . The holiday break was granted and she knew she will start to pay again in January 2021.

After the holiday she realize that they did not deduct and went to the branch to inquire about the payment in Wynberg Cape town was attended by ( Nelly Jack ) , she was advised that all her policies are fully paid up and need not to stress again .

Later she received an email that all her policies have lapsed and owes more than R8000 and she needs to make payment in order for the policies to be active .

She panicked and could hardly sleep as this was all new to her , she called with no success and my other sister decided to write on Company's Facebook page but the matter was attended by another consulted Mbulelo Williams who advise that he will inquire this with their Head office ( he sent forms to be signed , she did all that and he advised that all is in order . )

We later learnt that the policies are still lapsed and there's nothing they could do about the matter . It's either she start afresh or make a payment . She does not have the amount of money .

My mother wants all the money she has paid for all these years and has already opened a policy else where
