Old Mutual And Their Outdated Directory

Extremely disappointed with the service received from Old Mutual. I app**** for a loan on their website where I filled out all my details and was approved. Soon after, a consultant called me and we spent 15 minutes on the phone getting all the details again. I was then told that my loan was declined because according to them, the telephone number for the company I work for, cannot be verified. I was told to obtain a letter from work, confirming the contact details. I got the letter and submitted it only to be told once again that the telephone number could not be verified. This is absolute BS!!! They could not even be bothered to call the number and see which company it goes to because it seems that their "directory" of telephone numbers could not possibly have incorrect information listed! Perhaps if one of your consultants were willing to pick up the phone and call the number you'd see it's the correct number. Or perhaps even go to the company website and check what telephone number is listed. But no, Old Mutual knows better!
