Old Mutal Lack not appointing executor for estate

My mother in-law passed away on 22 November 2024. Old Mutual has been appointed as the executor of the estate, as per the will that she had. To date we have not heard a peep out of Old Mutual about who the executor is, despite several interventions from the broker. Creditors and bills must be paid which are all the duties of the executor. The silence from Old Mutual is deafening and as per normal they will be the first to take their money to wind up the estate.

Its like Old Mutual does not give a flying hoot about the people that they are supposed to look after.
