Nonpayment of Funeral Policy
I am very disappointed and hurt regarding the failure of the above stated issue. I chose Old Mutual as I regarded you as a longstanding, reputable and honest company. I had great belief that in ensuring my loved ones I would receive a payout to give them a dignified funeral. Being a long-standing policy holder with you I had to experience your maltreatment. I has taken up a policy when I was married to the deceased, we then reconciled after the divorce. Yet you failed to pay me what I have been paying you all these years. There is no communication from you, informing us policy payers what steps to take when one is divorced and has reconciled. You kept on accepting my monies all these years and upon the day I submitted a claim I had to do endless affidavits to prove to you that I have been residing in the same address at the time of death. The epitome of my hurt is after so many visits to your offices in pinelands with all the documentation you had been requesting you then decide to decline my claim. Am I the first divorcee, you had to deal with? Are you then concluding that after my marital status there is no way the deceased and I could have rekindled? Not everything is black and white, by this I mean you think that after individuals go their own way there is no reconciling. How many years have I paid this policy only for you to decline! The way this was conducted is as though you’re running a ********** pyramid scheme, we pay you and nothing for us payees especially at our time of grief.
