Non Disclosure of Information

In 2013 September, I signed up a Retirement Annuity Policy with Old Mutual, Group Schemes Lenasia Branch. In December 2014 I decided to cancel the said Policy. The Consultant at the Lenasia Group Scheme Branch informed me that i cannot cancel the Policy. And because the Value of the Policy was R7 305-84, which was more than R7000-00, I will not be able to receive my premiums in refund. I then asked the consultant as to why I was not informed of the said ruling when I signed up the Policy. I did not receive any answers. I continued sending emails to Old Mutual and to date I have been messed around. The answers I keep getting was that I will not be able to get my refund. I believe that I have been deceived by Old Mutual Group Group Scheme, in that the consultant who signed up the policy for me failed to disclose this vital information to me. I believe that the consultant who signed up the Policy had her own Financial interest at heart when she signed up my Policy. I feel so cheated by her devious ways in which she carried out her business. I later realised that Old Mutual Group Schemes Consultants were not professionally trained with respect of retirement Annuity Policies.
