No reply in 60 days on a normal insurance claim.

A claim on life insurance was lodge on 17.10.2024 with all the relevant documentation. The deceased died of natural courses. I am the owner and payer. After numerous telephonic queries I received a request on 17.12.2024 (Yes 2 months later) for more documentation. Prior to that I NEVER received any feedback whatsoever. This request for more documentation could form part of the initial claim procedure. Old Mutual hide behind "we verified the beneficiary." But I am the owner and only me could have change the beneficiary. To conclude: Old Mutual advertise on their webpage that a claim normally takes 30 days. Somewhere else I have read 2 days, 7 days, 15 days and 30 days and 60 days. My point is that this corporate entity is a disgrace to the sector.
