NEVER CHOOSE OLD MUTUAL YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to reload my debit order . SOMETHING SIMPLE .... but not with Old Mutual .I called Old Mutual on 31 Jan at 8.35 and spoke to a consultant named Byron who promised me that he did whatever was required and sent it off for processing and that the debit would go off after 4 working days. I waited a whole week and nothing. I then called on 6/02 at 9.30 and spoke to Chandre who then said that Byron did not do the correct loading, but she has changed everything and now the debit order will go off on 6 Feb, we even confirmed amount again . I again waited but nothing. I called again on 13/02 at 8.29 and I insisted on speaking to someone senior. I spoke to a Charmaine Alexander who assured me that I was going to get all her attention and this issue was going to be sorted asap. I trusted her because of the convincing manner in which she spoke. She called back after checking with accounts and said that they are telling her that my premiums on the one policy is up to date and the premiums on the other policy are in arrears. Mind you both the policies go off on one debit order amount. I then told her that this is impossible . She then requested my bank statement to prove to the accounts dept that the debit orders indeed did not go off. She was supposed to send me an email by 1pm on 13/02 which never came. I again called her yesterday and spoke to Sinazo who kept me on the line for 40 minutes while going as a messenger between Charmaine and myself, because Charmaine was apparently very busy and could not take my call. Sinazo said that she would remind Charmaine to send the email which did not happen. I called Charmaine this morning at 8.20, she opened with a line " Mrs Reddy you are going to live long, because we were just discussing your case in the meeting and I was wondering whether I sent you the email or not" ( How's this for customer care ???????????????) I then informed her that I did send my bank statement to the contact email, she then said that she will have a look and send me an urgent mail to say that it is and Old Mutual issue and that if something should happen I will still be covered. I still have'nt received the mail. I am absolutely infuriated by Old Mutuals lack of service delivery and because I have had my policies with them for over 10 years and if I switch I will lose all my benefits. They employ staff and do not train them to handle queries effectively and their senior manager make promises they can't keep, in the meanwhile the customer is left without good service with the expense of making all the long calls. I am very disappointed that I have not received the help required. I promise to however make certain that no one else will face the same issue as me, ever. Liberty Life was so much better and I only switched because of a friend.
