How old mutual left us stranded when we needed money to bury my husband.

No feedback nothing not even a confirmation that they have received our claim. My husband invested money at old mutual under retirement. Unfortunately he succumbed to Covid 19.

We knew very well that the money was under retirement fund but we thought we will get at least some sort of assistance with the money for funeral arrangements or even to give us a printout that shows yes the money is there so that we can make arrangements with the funeral parlour .

they told us that the payout could take even 3 months to be paid out.

If you are considering to take any investment with them think twice. Now we facing debts because the funeral home could not keep the body anymore at the mortuary.
