Life Policy
My husband and I had our life policies with Old mutual since 2015. When we opened the profile we received one policy number and we both had to sign, Obviously. In July 2022 I decided to move MY policy to another company due to bad service from Old Mutual, but had to leave my husbands because the other company did not accept him because he has Diabetic Type 1 since he was 2 years old. I did a letter to Old Mutual with the policy number and only my signature on. Soon after I moved my policy we realized that they cancelled my husbands policy as well. We then asked to reinstate his part he had to go for more medical tests, and they reinstated MINE. It's been a year now and 2 blood tests later, they let me know that they will not reinstate his policy due to his health that deteriorate according to the tests. But know one has even made effort to go see my husband. His been a diabetic for 40 years and has not lost one limb, his eyes is perfect and his kidneys are working 100% according to all the tests that the Doctor done. I'm completely discussed that this is the outcome. And I feel that legally they did not deal with this the write way and they are covering up the mistake that they made when they cancelled his policy.
