Life cover premium escalation without permission

Its been 3 days since I have complained about my mother 's life cover policy where by old mutual decided to double the monthly premium without her permission and now they want to lapse the policy that she has been paying for over 15 years to date no one contacted her, I'm now begging to think that old mutual is a **** can anyone help with the other steps my mother can take please help
