Keep deducting debit orders even after contract has been cancelled.

In July I took out a life insurance policy with FNB after discussing and cancelling my life insurance policy with Old mutual. Old mutual assure me that they can cancel it from their side and that the two months that I will pay would be paid back into my account. So I waited another 2 months and then the debit order amount changed but it was still there. Contacted Old mutual and they spun a story that there is another client with my name and surname and got mixed up. Whole story changed after a while to they cant cancel it. The final story they came up with is that the bank will not let them cancel the debit order as it has todo with my home loan. (Even though I took out a new life insurance policy with FNB that includes payout to my bond in the case of death). Chatted now with 3 private bankers and they say the debit order should have been cancelled by Old Mutual. FNB's own words. "But a debit order is cancelled by the service provider, the bank does not enforce a debit order, the company runs the debit order on their end," So raking in those extra fees is *****ing Old Mutual. Next step is the ombudsman.
