Investment with income

I currently have an investment with income policy from Old Mutual. I volunteered the funds into the investment in 2013. I am now experiencing financial difficulties and am wishing to terminate said investment. Upon inquiry however Old Mutual told me that it works like a retirement annuity and I therefore cannot access my funds. I did not open a retirement annuity and the policy itself is a Max Investment policy.<br> <br> This is extremely upsetting seeing as it is my money and it is now desperately needed. I feel as though my money is being held hostage by Old Mutual and they are not willing to assist me. This matter is causing me extreme emotional distress and I am currently pregnant. I really just want MY money and feel so frustrated that I even invested with Old Mutual to begin with.<br>
