Insurance *******

My grandfathers home was broken into for the 1st time in the 23 years he's been living there and has never claimed from insurance in the time he's been living in he's home . He's home was recently vandalized and goods were ****** and after all the trauma he and he's family has gone through he's insurance broker at old mutual is now telling him that the goods in he's home does not belong to him as he has no receipts. How do they expect receipts after all the years? After paying insurance for over 20 years Old Mutual still wants to rob honest people who thought they were covered in case something like this should happen. They are now offering to replace the goods with cheaper goods instead of paying out. This man is a business owner and they are assuming he had cheap goods in he's home. This is ridiculous even for an insurance company who we know will always try to pay people out as little as possible.
