Insurance policy query

I Lina mothemane. I have joined old mutual funeral cover in 2019 and thy were deducting the money every month on th 26 which is my pay day until thy stopped deducting the money in 2020 without notifying me why thy stooped and my policy lapsed. In 2021 I went to old mutual kwagga center to re opened my policy of which I did and everything went smooth money was deducted every month on the 26th,until September there was no deductions and there were no notification,no phone calls ,no msges to alert me that the the policy has stopped until I went to the branch on Tuesday in kgwagga to enquire about this only to find out my policy has lapsed.when I asked why thy was no deductions for 2 months as per our agreement the guy who was helping me said there is no reason that shows why on the system. Now I want to know what's gonna happened to the money that has been deducted from 2019 up until 2022 September Hesse an not gonna loose such amount of money for the their fault,can unplease assist in resolving this matter will appreciate alot.
