Income Protection = No Peace of Mind
<p>So you decide to start your own business, work for yourself. But you though if something happened to me, there will be no income. No worries get insured, get an income proctection plan. </p> <p>My husband been working for him self and been with Old Mutual for a while know, the worst happen.</p> <p>While attending to a break down next to the road, a other party smashed into the vehicle and jack knife his leg. </p> <p>This is how we been treated by the claims department...</p> <p>They requested that we give them doctor records back to 2008 to see if my husband had any death wish and would orchestra such an accident...</p> <p>And know He need to proof his income so they can make sure, he did not decide to use Old Mutual for an get rich quick scheme.</p> <p>And this is after they delayed the claim for month's and not attending to it. All we get is sorry it was our fault we did delay, But we can't comprehend what type of ***** they handle every day... SO THIS GIVE'S THEM THE RIGHT TO ACCUSE YOU OF ALL THE ABOVE???? AND YOU THE CUSTOMER MUST PROOF THAT YOUR NOT THE ********!!!!</p>

Colleen did keep to her promise and phoned me back at 11:23. She said that she will speak to assesor and see what she can sort out with them. As for the emails regarding our case that I receive, she said we were not suppose to be copied in.., so what I understand from this is that Old Mutual have the right to delay a claim and request documents... so next claim remember that you need to proof that you are not depress and suicidal.

Another Delay... another doctors motivation letter needed to say that the specialist that booked off my husband till January 2017 confirm that he thinks my husband current disabilty is serious and that my husbank works for him self. So be prepared for extra medical consultation expenses while waiting for Old Mutual to sort out your claim. Because you will have to go back to your doctor time and time again to get document because Old Mutual have the right to request as much document as they want and all of them say the same with a different requested subject every time.

Please email me with your finding in my complaint, because I don't feel that you look the at actual complaint.
It is more of getting the claim paid and not attending to the complaint of how your claims department delay's the case.
