In a dilemma because of misinformation

I joined the comprehensive funeral cover in 2008. I asked the advisor about my nephew who stays with me, he told me to put him as a dependant because i wanted to take a separate policy for him. I am not his guardian legally because his mother is still alive but is not working. He passed away last week and I was told that they are not going to pay for my claim because I am not his legal guardian. The funeral is already arranged for next week and now I must go around applying for loans when I have had insurance for 7 years which they never asked any questions. They say there's nothing they can do bt it was their advisor who advised me about this. They said I can complain with the ombudsman. I don't have time for that. I am so stressed I don't know where to begin. Now we stuck with a body that we cannot afford bury.<br>
