IF YOU TAKE A WILL WITH OLD MUTUAL THEY MIGHT JUST LOOSE IT

Original Will Lost by either Nedbank or Old Mutual, and negatively affecting Family My Father took out a will in 2012 with Old Mutual broker Mpho Selotlego, and later reviewed the will in 2017, he passed on this year on the 04th of July. I then started the process of closing and informing companies of my late father. I found a copy of the will his will of 2017.

I then went to Old Mutual to get advice and way forward, only to be told to email Nedbank will department. I did so, then MR Siyanda Zono of the estate costal informed me to prepare about 10 documents, including the original will. I then asked that the will should be with other Old Mutual or Nedbank, which they claim they only have a record on the date it was submitted to Old Mutual and unfortunately don't have an original copy.

This is disturbing you to me, because the copy a have does not have witnesses that co-signed, and the original would have the three signatures to be valid. It is of my opinion that the original was lost in transit, because Mr M Selotlego remembers helping my father draft it and send the original to Bloemfontein, where its the taken to Cape town where Mr S Zono sits. But all the people receiving or sending should sign, and that was unfortunately not done as they fail to see where it is. This is delaying the role out of my father's estate. We are frustrated as a family because of this, please find the will or let me know way forward.
