I do not recommend Old mutual if you want to invest money.

My Mother passed away awhile ago so I decided I want to invest my inheritance and receive a monthly income- keeping in mind that in the case of a emergency I have cash flow and can access it whenever. So I came into contact with a Old Mutual representative/ advisor who "assisted and advised me" regarding the investment and all seemed right (being new to investments I didn't know what questions to ask - I just thought that all investments were equal). After everything was done and sorted I received a monthly amount and enjoyed it, but when I wanted to access my money all of a sudden I couldn't because it was living annuity. Now I am unemployed and have no money because of not being told the full details of everything regarding the policy. I feel old mutual should notify all financial advisors and representatives to disclose everything in a investment policy. I'll never recommend Old Mutual to anyone ever again. Knowing that I have money but can't access it as I actually really need it (all I wanted was a normal investment account and now finally that I know what I have I can't do anything about it.) thanks
