Green light policy - disability benefit debited after cancellation

I have a Greenlight Lifecover policy with Old Mutual. In December 2023, I decided to cancel the Disability income benefit in policy as I now permanent and received a similar benefit from my employer. This was done through my intermediary, with confirmation of cancellation received on 01/01/2024. Since then, Old Mutual has continued to deduct the premium (R550) of this cancelled benefit from my account, which means that I had I request refunds on a monthly basis for the past 6 months

I have sent numerous emails to the Old Mutual complaints and Arbitrator departments, but my account is still debited for this. I have demanded explanation as to why this keeps happening and have received none as of date.

I have honestly Nedbank

Reviewer Update
Update on this, Delia Smit was assigned to this case, after requesting an explanation from her, she blamed this on “a system issue”. I guess this “system issue” has been going on for 7 months. After follow ups I finally received the refund on the 23/07/2024 (23 days after my initial review). I requested assurances that this will won’t helped again, which I never did. Then boom, Old Mutual decides to debit the full amount this month. I have now given Old Mutual 7 months to resolve this and they miserably failed showing how *********** they’re are. They really don’t care about their customers.

I am now in the process of moving all my life covers and policy, insurance and investments to a different service provider. If I could give them a zero I would!
