GARNISHEE OVERPAYMENT

<p>In May 2014 I received a garnishee from IDP traceonline on behalf of OLD Mutual. The amount was R24800 (give or take). I was then told to pay R1200 each month until it was paid up, my payslips show my balances each time it is deducting, so from last month it was supposed to be their last payment of R900 but I saw they deducted R1200 still which is overpayment, I then contacted them to issue a query.</p> <p> </p> <p>I got the shock of my life when they told me I owe R17000 still for interest and that the balance on my payslip is incorrect, at IDP i spoke to miss M. Du Plessis. She gave me her email address so I can send her my latest payslip, which I did. How can this be?? R17000 interest for R24800 that is almost 80% interest. Please help me im being ****** just when I thought i got out of debts im being pulled back in, I cant I cant!!!</p>

The information provided was very limited, we therefore are trying to find the division that should be dealing with the matter. I have sent it to you Old Mutual Finance division as I suspect that the Garnishee Order is related to the loan you took with them.

I await their feedback in this regard.
