funeral claim not paid out

My grandmother had covered her mother for a funeral cover for 5 years. Old mutual has been failing to debit for a long time but my granny would deposit the money every first day of a new month and she has receipts to proove it. She missed 2 payment and when she went claim she paid for them and she was reasured that she would get the money but they called her a day before her mother's funeral and told her she wouldn't be paid out due to the last 2 months she missed. How can a cover laps in 2 months payment after you have been loyal for 5 years and you don't get a cent out of them. How can they make her pay for the 2 missed months but not keep their end of the bargain. I wouldn't advise anyone to take their cover. If we didn't have other reliable covers my grandmother's mom wouldn't have had a dignified funeral. Old mutual really disappointed us, in a time of need.
