Funeral and Life cover.

Worst experience ever. This is a company that provides staff funeral and life cover for employees through the employer. My wife passed away December 2021 and she was on this policy. All documentation was submitted to Old Mutual SME Staff Cover within 90 days as per their request. A few weeks after they requested further information which was also submitted. This process of requesting more documentation has been going on since January 2022 until now. The funeral cover has not even paid out yet. The company states that it is now a group claim therefore the funeral policy has not paid out.

They believe, that upon the application of these policies, my wife has submitted false information. Which is not the case. She passed away due to natural causes of which no one, not even her doctor was aware of. Now they require further information of which they already have. Due to the whole process being dragged out I am lead to believe they are either a fly by night company or are seeking reasons not pay both funeral and life policies.

Any advise from whom ever would be greatly appreciated.
