funds disappeared

I went to old mutual branch in Friday 26th of January 2018 to withdraw partial value from my investment fund since i cannot withdraw the full value I was told I can only withdraw the termination value of which I agreed and I was told the remaining amount will be showing on my portfolio of which is not there I would like to know where is the rest of my money since I didn't terminate my policy we called old mutual from the branch they said they will email me the documents with explaination of which I did not receive I want to know where's the rest of my money they cannot charge me for withdrawing from my investement fund since they said i can withdraw any time
