Fund pay Out

I had a Old Mutual Max Investment. I cancelled this in 2011. The guy working at Old Mutual at the time was Stefan and he supp**** me with documents in order to be paid back, I completed all the documents, and supp**** copies of everything that he needed. I went overseas and forgot about the investment. In July 2015 I received a letter regarding the investment and decided to go and find out why this was never paid back to me. On 29.09.2015 I went to the Old Mutual branch in Paarl with all documents, they submitted copies of all my documents required and was advised that it will take between 5-15 days for the payout to take place. On Saturday 24.10.2015 I went back and was then advised that it takes 30-40 work days for this to be completed and paid out. I tried calling Old Mutual but with no effect can anyone help me as the investment still reflects active. I need this to be sorted before 31.10.2015 as I will also be submitting a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman.
