From 100 to 0 in a few short years

From 100 to 0 in a few short years.... I'm a client with Old Mutual for more that 20 years. What a great company... so I thought... I recently (January 2020) bought a property and needed live cover for my wife to the amount of R470 000. My wife is a healthy 47 year old women. The 2nd of April 2020 my wife apply for the policy. After a few weeks of completion of the forms Old Mutual asked for a medical report concerning a operation my wife had nearly 30 years ago. The operation was for chronic heart burn....(a Hernia procedure). The dr's send the report thru and we are still waiting. Every day there's a new excuse, something on the system that went wrong, the file is older than a month so its dormant and a lot of bad excuses. The Lawyers want to file for registration and the only hold up is the policy. My message is simple: Think twice before you contact Old Mutual. It may cost you more than you think.
