********** IN THE MAKING OLD MUTUAL!!!!!!

I took out an investment policy with Old Mutual some time in Feb or March and set it for 1000 at that time that was the amount i wanted to save, in April as the first debit order went off i changed my mind. I did a reversal and went to the Old Mutual branch in Newtown Junction mall to cancel the policy, i was advised that the policy was cancelled. Two weeks later after having cancelled I got an email with my policy docs and I went back to Old Mutual to confirm if the policy was cancelled and those were sent by mistake and that’s what I was told and all was well. Then May went by with no debit order running. As well as June. And before end of June or early July I got a call from a gentleman saying that they working for Old Mutual and that they are checking on policies I told him I went to the branch to cancel my policy and I don’t know why he is calling me, he said it’s fine and that he will get Mkansi Rector to call me regarding my cancellation. Today I get an sms stating that the debit order of R1000 has gone off my account from Old Mutual. WHY???? I then went to the branch in Newtown AGAIN and they tell me that IT reinstated my policy WITHOUT my consent and that if I want my money back I should do a Reversal…. FOR WHAT ??? I’m currently in a process of applying for a Home Loan and my account is now overdrawn due to this and now THIS IS IMPACTING MY FINANCIAL RECORD and also MY HOMELOAN APPLICATION. I want this matter sorted I want my money back into my account, the bank charges to be paid for and also to be refunded for the cost of the Bank statement I had to go withdraw for them. I want a Letter from Old Mutual Apologising for this IRRESPONSIBLE behaviour. It is totally UNACCPTABLE for such a huge company to have such ILLITERATE sales people that are chasing sales so badly that they don’t think of the impact they are having on clients LIFE’S. I’m so DISGUSTED AND APPAULLED BY THIS!!! NOT FORGETTING ****ED OFF
