***** ignored

<p>My mother recently received an email in respect of an offer purporting to be from Old Mutual. It on a standard Old Mutual letterhead.</p> <p>All official documents were attended to on the Old Mutual letterhead by Sharon Miller. The phones were answered as Old Mutual and nothing appeared incorrect.</p> <p>It was not until we attended upon the bank to make payment of the application fee we discovered that it was **********. </p> <p>We immediately contacted Old Mutual ***** Line and have yet to hear back from them. Further investigation showed that the legitimate Old Mutual were aware of this for months.</p> <p>The shocking part was that rather than emailing their Clients or posting the non email clients letters warning them, they merely posted a notice on their website.</p> <p>It's sad that as long time clients we 1) almost fell victim to something that Old Mutual could have warned about but more importantly they have yet to contact us!</p> <p>The ********** are still calling us and old Mutual could have assisted by now to prevent other clients from falling victim.</p> <p> </p>
