Fradulent Investment Account Opened: Difficult to close

I received and SMS informing me the first debit was due on the 27th of August 2016.

I immedietely called to cancel as I had not opened the account.

I was told to forward a signed letter, which I did - I still have no confirmation that the debit will not go off my account or that the account will be closed as a matter of urgency.

I contact customer care and rather than escalating the matter as this is ***** - they give me and e-mail address to forward the complaint to.

Issues like this cause massive amounts of stress - as busy and huge as old mutual is some care for someone who is distressed and forwarding the inquiry on as a ******** case has been opened would've helped.

I need feedback as a matter of urgency

As stated, I have been informed that the first payment is due to go off on Saturday. If you cannot cancel it from your side by then I must. I do not understand why I cannot get confirmation from anyone that this debit will not go off.

Dear Angelique
I have investigated your policy and received confirmation that your application was processed completely online without human intervention. There was an email traced dated 22 August where you requested cancellation and were given the email address or contact number to assist you with this.
I require a signed letter from you to be emailed or faxed to me and I will arrange that this policy is cancelled as well as the debit order.
Kind regards
Belinda Hunt
