False information

As I just got my divorce papers signed and finalised in court last week, I was shocked to hear that my annuaties would only be paid out to my ex wife, where my half would only be available to me when I am 55. The whole agreement between me and my ex wife would be on the terms that it would be allowed by old mutual to pay out both parties. So I phoned old mutual, and they assured me as soon as I have the legal papers, I can just send it through and they will process it. It is not a lot of money, but based on what they told me, I agreed to give half to my ex wife. In these difficult times we would both needed the extra cash. I did not speak to my agent that specific day, but to customer service. Giving me false information, Money that was suppose to get me and my kids through the year. I am very NOT satisfied with this. Based on false information, who knows what else is secure in any old mutual policies. Very unprofesionnal.
