Extremely Unprofessional and Abusive Behaviour from Manager – Old Mutual Jabulani Mall

If I could give zero stars, I would. I’ve witnessed the manager at Old Mutual Jabulani Mall treating her staff in the most unprofessional and disrespectful way on three different occasions. It’s heartbreaking and unacceptable.

First encounter: During my first visit, a male consultant was assisting me when the manager suddenly started shouting at him, using explicit language and creating a scene in front of customers. The disrespect was so bad that even an elderly customer reprimanded her, saying staff should never be treated that way in public.

Second encounter: On my next visit with my daughter, the manager again lost her temper — this time at another consultant who was helping us. The poor lady was clearly embarrassed, and it made the whole experience extremely uncomfortable.

Third encounter (28 October 2025): Early that morning, I witnessed the manager shouting loudly at another staff member who was about to leave. Although I couldn’t hear everything, the tone and volume made it clear she was berating the employee — once again, in full view of customers.

It’s shocking to see such behaviour from someone in a managerial position. The staff at this branch are polite, professional, and always willing to help, but they’re clearly being mistreated. As someone who also works in a senior role (at the hospital across the road), I’ve never seen such blatant verbal abuse and misuse of authority.

Several colleagues have shared similar experiences, which shows this isn’t an isolated issue. Old Mutual needs to urgently investigate the working conditions at this branch. Employees deserve respect, not public humiliation.

This is not just poor management — it’s workplace harassment. The staff deserve protection and support, not abuse.

Ive never reviewed any business. In this instance I had to our children are mistreated at work places.
