ETHICS DOWN THE DRAIN AT OLD MUTUAL

I app**** online for a loan to assist in consolidating my current and historical debt. I was contacted by a very friendly consultant who assisted me very efficiently, and a pre-approval offer was made. The documents was submitted this morning and I had no response with regards to the outcome of my application. I was then contacted by another company who informed me that my application was unsuccessful. About 2 hours later, I was contacted by Old Mutual to advise that my application was declined. I find it worrying that a third party company contacted me instead of Old Mutual to inform me about the application. I feel strongly about this as it comes down to ethics. I have lost all confidence in Old Mutual and would strongly advise future applicants to refrain from doing business with them. This is totally unacceptable.
