Old Mutual is the executor of my parent's estate. My mom passed away 20 July 2008 and my dad passed away 16 June 2009. Old Mutual told us it's not their job to handle the estate, we must do it ourselves. Please note: OLD MUTUAL IS EXECUTOR. For 2 years my brother ran from pillar to post with no joy and no co-operation from Old Mutual (THE EXECUTOR). Then Old Mutual THE EXECUTOR realized, Oh my, they are executors, they must actually do something here. Mr. Toekie Stander from Old Mutual handled the estate and eventually handed the estate over to his daughter in law or something, Marlize Stander, who worked at laywer's offices. The estate ended up in archives. May 2015 after I asked about the estate, they dug it out of archives. It is a straight forward will with 2 Old Mutual policies and money in the bank from the sale of my parent's house. Nothing complicated. How can it take so long? How did the estate end up in archives? Why won't Old Mutual tell us what is going on? Ashna Rameshur is handeling the estate now, but I also don't hear anything. After numerous e-mails, the only reply I get is: Ashna will contact me. Is there anyone out there who can actually help? 6 Years is enough!
