Double debit in one month. Shocking Old Mutual
I changed my debit order date from the 25th of the month to the 1st of the following month as I started a new job. I did this as my pay date changed. This was to ensure that my debit orders did not bounce. The debit orders went through on the 25th and I have been advised my account will be debited again on the 1st of the next month. This means that I will be paying Old Mutual twice in a matter of 7 days. This is absolute *******. My account will be debited again on the 1st of the following month. Is Old Mutual not able to charge a pro rata amount for 6 days. If I had known this I would never changed my debit order date. What a *******.

28 Oct 2022, 18:45Colleen. The first debit order went off on the 25th October and the second one is going off on the 1st of November. That is R1300 x 2 in a matter of R2600. This is ridiculous that I need to pay double payment just because I changed the debit order date. This is *******
