Do Not take out a policy with Old Mutual

I am disgusted with Old Mutual: in 1995 I took out a retirement annuity with this so called financial services provider. It matured in March 2025. I requested my funds. Only to hear that while I paid in R18000, I will only be receiving R3000! Why would anyone want to take out a policy if you get less than the amount you invested? Far less! I have been asking for a detailed account of what happened to my money since October 2025. It is now March 2026, no response. I keep hearing the same ******* about Old Mutual adhering to higher customer service standards than I've been treated with, as has been their response to every single complaint on this site, but NO progress in my request. I am met with silence. Old Mutual is a *******. This country needs stricter financial services rules and regulations to clamp down on exploitative companies like Old Mutual. They have no morals, no business ethics and ***** your money - with impunity. Don't ever take out a policy with Old Mutual, they will rob you. And the complaints department of Old Mutual, do me a favor and do not tell me that Old Mutual is sorry for the level of service I received. Old Mutual is not sorry as long as they can ***** innocent South African's money and get away with it!
