Dissatiesfied
#Win is definitely not their motto. I am still waiting on feedback in regards to a claim. My nephew died in April month already. I was advised that a student number has to be sent in order for the claim to be paid out. We advised that he was not a student.
Also that we were not advised that she he be over 21 years old that he will not be covered, hence we had to pay cash for his funeral. I liaise with an adviser named Desmond at the Town center Mitchell's Plain branch.
He then contacted the claims department and explained the situation as my son was not a student and not 22 years old yet. The other party gave him the go ahead to process the claim form.
I then received an sms from the company to advise that I need to send a student number, which was confusing as the advisor confirmed telephonically that my son was not a student.
When I went to the branch this particular adviser did not want to give me the name of the person who gave him the go ahead to process the claim. Now they want to tell me because he was not a student and the claim can not be approved.
If I was informed in the first place that he was no longer covered, I would have not gone to them for a claim. However he is still stated on the policy as covered. Nowhere on my contract does it state that I cannot claim if the child turns 21 years old.
Up until today I did not receive a cent nor contact from them.
