Disgusted OM client

I took out funeral policy via WhatsApp with a consultant, she did necessary things on her end, send me debicheck confirmation but did not explain much, my mother-in-law passed away 2days ago, and i messaged her to find out what the process is i need to follow , i have no means of funds to bury her as we rely on the policy, only for her to tell me about a waiting period, this is unacceptable as this was not explained, now we have no means to bury her, my father-in-law is also on the policy, i would like her policy to be paid out as she needs to be laid to rest, consultant did not do her job accordingly and I won't stop until funds are paid out, i will open a case against old mutual and the consultant, i expect feedback before COB 16th May 2022
