Disability Claim

I have a policy with Old Mutual for over 20 years. I have recently been diagnosed with severe arthritis in my spine and hips and subsequently been placed on permanent disability by my doctor. I have submitted all the required documents to Old Mutual and my claim was rejected due to Old Mutual wanting to be technical. My doctor completed an Old Mutual ill health form where it clearly stated that I'm permanently disabled now they claim the form is not their form and that's why my claim was rejected. I have been unemployed for the past 6 months and I'm in serious financial difficulties and I dont get any sort of support from Old Mutual. This is after all why I took out a policy for these situations.

Should I report this to the insurance ombudsman?
