Delayed retirement annuity
Hi, I've been waiting for Old Mutual to process my late mom's retirement annuity, it's been 5 weeks since Old Mutual said they will process my claim. I'm 22 years old I have 3 siblings who are looking up to me, mind you it's the festive season. It's so difficult to even put food on the table, I've been hoping that the claim would have been paid and I would be able to take care of the needs of my siblings... I'm really torn apar by their service.

26 Nov 2020, 21:05I want to explain the situation in depth. My mom passed away 03 October 2019, I didn't know she had a retirement annuity with Old Mutual. I only received a call from the on the 21st of September 2020, telling me they are investigating. I had to wait till the board of trustees to make a decision, I received a call again from OM telling me about their decision on the 12th of October 2020,then I called them on the 22nd of Octoberto enquire,I've been told they are stillwwaiting for a tax directive and I've been waiting for them to process my claim ever since.... I'm stressed, I can't provide anything for my family.. I always thought Old Mutual was the best but now I know I was just lying to myself.
