Death Claim - Turnaround TIme

We have been struggling for 6 MONTHS to settle our father's death claim. If I don't phone on a regular basis and repeat and reiterate the next steps, nothing happens. All I hear is... there is no turnaround time on death claims. As with other complaints on Hello Peter, we are constantly given different information from different persons and when requesting the correct info, they seem agitated. 5 months to have the forms processed. Now it is with the administrators, that needs to submit it to SARS (they say this takes 24 - 48 hours maybe) then SARS another 5 - 7 days, then it is checked again by Old Mutual (another 5 - 7 working days) and then they can't confirm when you will be paid. <br> <br> The process is extremely unfriendly and insensitive to those trying to move on and having this entire process stretched beyond measure.
