Death claim taken two months and still not paid out.

I sent all the required forms in to Old Mutual on 14/03/2016. The SARS notification they requested was sent on the 29/03/2016. Further documents requested telephonically were sent the same day. Including a copy of the deceased's ID. On the 13/04/2016 I received an email requesting copies of the documents AGAIN, to which I responded angrily and attached copies. On 26/04/2016 I re sent the email as I had received no reply from J Ackerman.I received an email on the 28/04 stating that they had tried to contact our daughter regarding the payment on the 21/04. And had not tried again. On 04/05 received a message to say they were busy withthe payment process. On 13/05 I received another mail saying that SARS had declined the directive as the deceased income tax number was inactive. On checking the SARS note, I found that the ID number had been put in incorrectly. I emailed the SARS clearance docs and another copy of his ID. To date there was no reply other than the automated one confirming receipt. I phoned today, was on the phone for 17 minutes, only to be told they will be "dealing with it". I have spent hours of my time on this due to your gross inefficiency and I am disgusted by the absolute lack of client service. This is a traumatic enough time without having to spend endless hours away from my work compensating for someone else's lack of interest and lack of common decency to realise that when dealing with a death claim one should be supportive and EFFICIENT.
