Credit enquiry without consent

On the 29th of January 2019 I went into Old Mutual in Bellville Voortrekker Road to withdraw my savings.I was assisted by Mariam Galat. While Mariam was processing my request, she asked if Im interested in their financial services.I politely declined and informed her I'll look on the net if I change my mind in future. She then suggested that the online platform declines most applicants and that I should rather go into a branch.

She then asked if I want her to check for me if I qualify.Again I declined and informed her numerous enquiries on a credit profile affects your score negatively. She agreed with me on that part. A few minutes later Mariam went to the printer and came back with a couple of papers concerning my savings withdrawal and my credit report.I then got very uncomfortable and angry.I told her I specifically declined her offer and never gave her consent to access my credit profile.

She violated my right to privacy and the POPI Act strictly prohibits such behaviour.

I need someone to look into this matter as she practically broke the law.
